MINA

Mina is a land between the Wadi-e-Mahshar and Jumrah-e-Uqbah which is a part of the Sanctuary. It is to the east of Mecca and Mash-a'rul Haraam. From Jumrah-e-Uqbah, the border of Mecca till Wadi-e-Mahshar towards Muzdalefah is Mina. It is approximately 3600 meters long. One reason of naming it Mina is that it was in this same vicinity that Jibraeel (a) came to H. Ibrahim (a) with a message to continue to hope in Allah.
