وَصِيِّ الْاَوْصِيَاۤءِ
وَ اِمَامِ الْاَتْقِيَاۤءِ
وَ خَلَفِ اَئِمَّةِ الدِّيْنِ
وَ الْحُجَّةِ عَلَى الْخَلَاۤئِقِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ
اَللّٰهُمَّ كَمَا جَعَلْتَهُ نُوْرًا يَسْتَضِيۤءُ بِهِ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ
فَبَشَّرَ بِالْجَزِيْلِ مِنْ ثَوَابِكَ
وَ اَنْذَرَ بِالْاَلِيْمِ مِنْ عِقَابِكَ
وَ حَذَّرَ بَأْسَكَ
وَ ذَكَّرَ بِاٰيَاتِكَ
وَ اَحَلَّ حَلَالَكَ
وَ حَرَّمَ حَرَامَكَ
وَ بَيَّنَ شَرَاۤیِعَكَ وَ فَرَاۤیِضَكَ
وَ حَضَّ عَلٰى عِبَادَتِكَ
وَ اَمَرَ بِطَاعَتِكَ
وَ نَهٰى عَنْ مَعْصِيَتِكَ
فَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ
اَفْضَلَ مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلٰىۤ اَحَدٍ
مِنْ اَوْلِيَاۤئِكَ وَ ذُرِّيَّةِ اَنْبِيَاۤئِكَ
يَاۤ اِلٰهَ الْعَالَمِيْنَ۔
The reporter, Abu-Muhammad al-Yamani, said: When it was the turn of the invocation of blessings upon him, Imam al-Hasan al-’Askari (‘a) stopped. I asked about the reason, and he answered: Had this question not been part of the religion that we are ordered to convey and transmit to its people, I would have preferred keeping silence. However, this is the religion. You may write down:
