MIQAT' OF THE PEOPLE GOING TO THE HOLY MECCA

Those who intend to perform Hajj or Umrah of the House of Allah should wear Ehraam before entering Mecca. The places which are defined for wearing Ehraam are called 'Miqat'. The five different 'Miqats' are:

1) 'Zul Halifah', Masjid-e-Shajrah is 'Miqat' for people going to Mecca from Medina.

2) 'Johfah' is Miqaat of people coming from Syria.

3) 'Wadi-e-Aqeeq' is Miqaat of people coming from Iraq and Highland Arabia (Najd).

4) 'Qarnul Manazil' is Miqaat of people coming from Taaef.

5. 'Yalamlam' is Miqaat of people coming from Yemen.
